Dress Code

DRESS CODE DEFINITION FOR ALL STUDENTS
1. Regular School Day Dress: To be worn Monday –Thursday.
2. ACA T-Shirt/Denim Friday: To be worn Fridays only (optional).
3. 1⁄2 Day Wear it Your Way: Free dress day only to be worn on half days (optional).
4. No clothing, including jeans, may be worn by students with the current “holes”
fashion. If leggings are worn, they must be covered by additional clothing and must
pass the fingertip rule.

TOPS FOR BOYS/GIRLS

Shirt requirements are as follows: collared polo shirt, short-or-long-sleeved, in any of the
six approved colors, with the ACA logo on the front (left or right side). Any button-up,
collared, dress shirt in any of the six approved colors (examples: Peter Pan style, Oxford
style, etc.), with the ACA logo. For girls, collared dresses (in one of the six approved
colors) or uniform jumper (with collared shirt underneath in one of the six approved
colors) may be worn. There should be an ACA logo on either the jumper or shirt (or
both). Any color or patterned shirt may be worn under a uniform shirt.

OUTER LAYERS

Outer layers such as zip up cardigan, regular cardigan or zip up fleece worn for warmth
in the classroom should be solid and in the six approved colors, do not require the logo, and when worn, the collar of the logoed shirt must be visible at all the times. No hoodies except on jeans/t-shirt days and 1⁄2 day wear it your way.

Requirements are as follows in two approved colors:

• Pants or capri pants in uniform style or may be casual designs such as cargo pants, khaki/navy joggers or khaki denim.
• Uniform shorts and cargo shorts (MUST PASS FINGERTIP RULE)
• Uniform skirt/skort (MUST PASS FINGERTIPE RULE)
• Uniform jumper
• Leggings in any color or pattern may be worn under skirts and jumpers. Leggings alone are not an option but if worn MUST be under a skirt, jumper or polo dress.

FINGERTIP RULE: The shorts or skirt/skort should be at or below the fingertips when the child’s arms are at the child’s sides.

Must wear leggings or shorts underneath skirts, polo dress and jumpers.
