Pre-Kindergarten

ACA offers full-time and part-time programs for 3-year-olds and 4-year-olds. Family needs and child-classroom readiness determine program placement. The maximum student-to-teacher ratios are 10:1 and 12:1, respectively, which allow Pre-K teachers to focus on students as individuals – getting to know each child’s interests and strengths.

ACA teachers work to address the development of the whole child. A developmentally appropriate, biblically-based curriculum, supplemental activities, and learning centers promote motor, social, cognitive, and creative skills. Social/emotional skills develop in the classroom through Conscious Discipline. This brain-based program teaches children to identify and self-regulate emotions, consider and cooperate with others, and resolve conflict respectfully and effectively. Ultimately, teachers work with students to help them grow and learn more about themselves, their peers, and the world around them.

We believe spiritual knowledge is crucial to collective growth, as we believe Jesus Christ is the perfect example of how one should treat others. Therefore, your child will gain Biblical knowledge daily as they sing worship songs and listen to Bible stories during JAM (Jesus And Me communal worship time).

The first few years of a child’s life are critical for intellectual, physical, and emotional development. At ACA, our Pre-k teachers will partner with you to give your child the best education possible. We will love your child, and your child will learn to love school!</p>

**Altus Christian Academy’s early education (pre-school) program is exempt from state licensing requirements for childcare facilities. However, ACA voluntarily meets those requirements and is committed to ongoing self-monitoring.
