Elementary School

Kindergarten–4th Grade

Engaging, Biblically-Based Learning

At ACA, our elementary program provides a vibrant, biblically-based education for kindergarten through fourth graders. We use research-based methods that prepare students for life in the 21st century, helping them grow in the four C’s: collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity. Flexible classrooms, learning centers, and hands-on STEM activities spark curiosity, encourage teamwork, and promote problem-solving skills.

Small Class Sizes, Big Impact

With an average 15:1 student-to-teacher ratio, teachers have the time and space to know each child personally—their interests, strengths, learning style, and areas for growth. This close connection also allows teachers to mentor students in their walk with Christ, offering guidance, encouragement, and prayer in meaningful ways.

Growing the Whole Child

ACA emphasizes the growth of the whole child—academically, socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Our Honorable Character system encourages students to make positive choices and notice the impact of their actions. Teachers recognize and celebrate character traits like Honor, Wisdom, Self-Control, Initiative, Service, and Responsibility.

Students are active learners, enjoying Physical Education, Music, and Spanish, as well as extracurricular activities like competitive basketball, cross country, 4-H, and academic competitions. These experiences help children grow into well-rounded, confident learners.

JAM: Worship for the Whole Family

Fridays are everyone’s favorite time—JAM (Jesus and Me) worship! Students and families come together to sing, pray, recite verses, and hear uplifting Bible lessons. With joyful, expressive music and meaningful worship, JAM demonstrates the importance of family involvement and allows children to experience multi-generational faith in action.

"ACA has been such a blessing to our family.

The teachers don’t just teach subjects – they pour biblical truth and Christ’s love into every lesson. We’ve watched our child grow in knowledge, confidence and her walk with the Lord. It gives us so much peace knowing she is in a Christ-centered environment where prayer, scripture, and faith are a part of every day. We are truly grateful for the way ACA partners with us in raising our kids to know and love Jesus.”

Upper Elementary | 5th + 6th Grade

A Unique Season of Growth

At ACA, our Upper Elementary program serves fifth and sixth graders during a unique and important season of growth. We intentionally refer to these years as upper elementary because students are beginning to develop greater independence, deeper curiosity, and a growing awareness of who they are as individuals. They are stretching academically, socially, and spiritually in new ways, and their learning becomes more personal and purposeful. We design this stage to honor both where they have been and who they are becoming.

Meaningful, Connected Learning

Core subjects such as math, English, social studies, and science remain strong and foundational, but they are taught in engaging and meaningful ways that help students see how knowledge connects across disciplines. One of the distinguishing features of our Upper Elementary program is Project-Based Learning (PBL). Through PBL, students engage in real-world, meaningful projects that deepen understanding and strengthen critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication skills. We also encourage students to consider how their work can impact the broader community, helping them see that their gifts and efforts matter—and that each of them has a role in God’s ongoing story.

Growing Confidence and Leadership

Students continue to explore and grow through “specials” classes such as Spanish, Physical Education, Music, and Speech/Debate, along with extracurricular opportunities including basketball, cross country, cheerleading, archery, academic team, and 4-H. These experiences build confidence, encourage leadership, and help students discover new interests in a supportive environment.

Faith That Becomes Their Own

As students begin asking bigger questions and forming their own perspectives, spiritual growth becomes especially meaningful. In Bible class, they explore what it means to have a biblical worldview and learn to thoughtfully engage with the world around them through the lens of Scripture. Our prayer is that their faith is not simply inherited but strengthened and made their own—built on a solid foundation that will carry them through high school and college into adulthood.

Partnering With Families

The preteen years can be both exciting and challenging, and we are committed to walking alongside families during this season. ACA partners with parents by offering encouragement, resources, and a supportive community, equipping you to confidently guide your child as they grow into a thoughtful, Christ-centered young person.

"A huge blessing to our family.

At ACA, the integration of biblical truth into every lesson and the genuine love poured into our child each day is truly a gift. We treasure that discipleship doesn’t just happen at home — it continues daily in the classroom. We have seen tremendous growth, not only academically but in confidence and character as well. The smaller class sizes and personalized attention have made it possible for our child to truly thrive. We could not ask for a better school for our family.”
