Pre-Kindergarten
A Strong Start in Pre-K
At ACA, our Pre-K program is designed to nurture curiosity, confidence, and a love for learning. We offer both full-time and part-time options for 3- and 4-year-olds. Students are placed in classes according to their age and birthday guidelines and remain with their class for the school year.
As part of the application process, we take time to get to know your child—their personality, developmental stage, and unique needs. This thoughtful process helps us determine the classroom setting and schedule that will best support your child’s growth and success. Our goal is for every child to begin the year feeling confident, secure, and ready to thrive.
Our classrooms maintain an average student-to-teacher ratio of 12:1, allowing our teachers to truly know each child—their interests, strengths, and the areas where they need encouragement to grow.
Learning Through Discovery
We believe in developing the whole child—academically, socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Our developmentally appropriate, biblically based curriculum comes to life through hands-on activities, engaging learning centers, creative play, and meaningful classroom experiences.
Children build early literacy and math skills, strengthen fine and gross motor development, and grow in confidence as they explore the world around them. We create a classroom environment where children feel safe to try new things, ask questions, and discover the joy of learning.
Growing Hearts and Minds
Social-emotional growth is an important part of each day. Through Conscious Discipline, a brain-based approach, children learn how to identify and manage their emotions, cooperate with others, and resolve conflict in respectful ways. These foundational skills prepare them not only for kindergarten, but for life.
Faith Woven Into Every Day
Spiritual growth is woven naturally into our program. We believe Jesus Christ is the perfect example of love, kindness, and service to others. Each day, children learn biblical truths through stories, prayer, worship songs, and participation in JAM (Jesus and Me), our communal worship time.
These meaningful moments help children understand who they are in Christ and how to treat others with compassion and grace.
Partnering With Families
The early years are such an important season of development, and we consider it a privilege to partner with families during this time. At ACA, your child will be known, loved, and encouraged every day.
Our prayer is that your child not only gains a strong educational foundation—but also develops a joyful love for school and for learning.
Altus Christian Academy’s early education (pre-school) program is exempt from state licensing requirements for childcare facilities. However, ACA voluntarily meets those requirements and is committed to ongoing self-monitoring.
"We are so thankful God led our family to ACA.
It’s such a blessing to watch our children grow in their faith and love for learning every single day!”
